Privacy Policy
Effective July 9, 2025
Tiny Global Village LLC (“TGV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website tinyglobalvillage.com, a website building agency and community directory platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, your choices and rights, and how to contact us. By using our site or services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly — name, email address, phone number, business or project details, and any message content you submit through our contact form, intake forms, account signup, or by contacting us by phone, SMS, or email.
- Information from your account or services — if we build a website or directory listing for you, we receive content, credentials, and configuration you provide for those services.
- Automatically collected information — server logs, IP address, device and browser information, referral source, and basic usage analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries you initiate (email, phone, or SMS).
- To deliver our agency services (designing, building, hosting, and listing your site).
- To send transactional updates (project status, schedule confirmations, billing).
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and platform.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS Communications
Our toll-free number is used for conversational messaging with clients and prospective clients. The following terms apply to all SMS exchanges with TGV:
- Opt-in. You opt in to SMS by texting us first, by calling and asking us to follow up by text, or by submitting our contact form with the SMS-consent checkbox enabled. We do not message phone numbers obtained from any other source.
- Frequency. Message frequency is variable and conversational; there is no recurring broadcast schedule.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply, set by your mobile carrier.
- HELP / STOP. Reply
HELP at any time for help. Reply STOP at any time to opt out — we will confirm and stop sending SMS to that number. - Carrier disclaimer. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- No third-party SMS sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing for the purpose of carrying out the messaging service itself (for example, with our SMS provider Telnyx) is a separate, necessary processor relationship described in Section 5.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for session management and basic privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site functionality may degrade if you do.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers (processors) who help us operate the platform — for example, our SMS provider (Telnyx), email provider, hosting provider, payment processor (Stripe), and backup provider. These vendors are contractually required to use your information only to deliver the services we engage them for.
- With your consent — for example, when you ask us to publish your business in the directory, the public-facing portions of that listing become visible by design.
- Legal compliance — to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with advertisers.
6. Hosted Business Data — Our Stewardship Model
When we host a website or application for a Village business, the data inside it (customer lists, bookings, schedules, sales, content) belongs to that business — not to us. We steward the infrastructure; we do not browse the contents:
- Separation by default. Our day-to-day operations have no access to hosted business content. Administrative dashboards show aggregate, non-content metrics only (such as uptime and billing totals).
- Access only by your consent. Hands-on support that would touch business data (for example, restoring from a backup) requires an access grant created by the business itself on its own verified request. Grants are time-boxed, single-use, and cannot be created by our staff.
- Blind operations. Support procedures such as backup restores are designed to run without displaying the underlying contents to the operator.
- Auditability.Every access grant — and every action performed under one — is logged where the business can review it from its own dashboard.
- Yellow Pages listings. Directory listings are published by each business deliberately and shown according to the visibility that business chose (public, members-only, or invisible).
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services to you, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. SMS conversation history is retained per the same standard; you can request deletion at any time (see Section 9).
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; you transmit information at your own risk.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Request a portable export of your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (you can opt out of SMS at any time by replying
STOP). - Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days (or the period required by your local law).
10. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International Transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access our services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page; continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
